From the people who brought you The Star Wars Symposium (that guy at the Library) comes the newest form of organized geekery.

In a Presidential Debate style presentation come and witness THE GREAT DEBATE.

For a long long time comic fans of all shapes and sizes have been arguing about who would win and who's better in general... Superman or Batman. It's time to sit down, hear some information and really look at the facts.

Then in an organized fashion (with hand raising) we can verbally have it out, and crown a champion once and for all.

Come to The Great Debate. We'll have cookies.

Grades 7-12 (adults welcome).

For more information, contact Peter at the Library.

Can't make it? Catch the repeat performance in August. It's on the Calender.

In a Presidential Debate style presentation come and witness THE GREAT DEBATE.

Then in an organized fashion (with hand raising) we can verbally have it out, and crown a champion once and for all.

If you’re a sports fan, you will love the sports trivia competition we’re having here at the library

It’s so easy to participate! Just get some friends or family together and form a team. Teams can have up to eight members. If you can’t get eight, that’s okay, just remember that the more people you have on your team, the bigger the pool of knowledge you’ll have to come up with answers to questions from all over the sports world.

That’s right, there will be questions from all over the world of sports. Our questions will also cover a wide span of time, with questions from this year, as well as questions from decades past.

Prizes for the winners. Children and Adults (Families Welcome)

Michelle Marchetti Coughlin discusses her book "One Colonial Woman's World: The Life and Writings of Mehetabel Chandler Coit."

Coit wrote what may be the earliest surviving diary by an American woman, which contains entries on a broad range of topics as well as poems, recipes, folk and herbal medical remedies, religious meditations, and financial accounts. An extensive collection of letters by Coit and her female relatives also survived, shedding further light on her experiences.
