A toaster that doesn't work anymore?
A broken necklace?
Don't throw them away, bring them to our Repair Café!

Repair Café is a neighborhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out. At a Repair Café, anyone can bring their broken but cherished items to be fixed on the spot, for FREE, with the help of volunteer repair coaches. Limit of 2 items per household.

Here are some ideas of the kinds of things you can bring:

    Contact:    518-386-2243

Workshop meets on April 4, April 18, May 2, May 16, and 30

Barbara Ungar will facilitate this five-part workshop for seasoned poetry writers (ages 18+). A prompt will be given before the first class, and at the end of each class for the following session. Consider the prompt as a spring-board to dive off from: if it inspires a poem you'd like to workshop, that's wonderful. If not, bring in any other poem you would like to work on.  We will workshop one poem by each participant per session, so our discussion will be limited by time, depending on the number of participants.

Barbara Ungar, an English professor at The College of Saint Rose, has authored books of poetry including "immortal Medusa" and "Charlotte Brontë, You Ruined My Life."
