Quilters of all levels are welcome. This class meets the first Tuesday of every month.

This program does not have a set "schedule" so you can start @ anytime! It is up to you how fast or slow you want to progress. Learn all the different steps of quilt making at your speed and schedule.

"Quilting 101" is where you'll start, especially if you are new to quilting.  This is training for traditional quilt making:  Using templates, hand cutting using scissors (not rotary cutting) & piecing.  You'll start with a "9 Patch" block and progress from there.  You learn about sashings & joining squares, borders, binding & labels.

You will also have the opportunity to set-up a practice up a quilt "sandwich".  And then you'll learn how to make a "proper knot" & how to hand quilt. For those who don't want to hand quilt other methods will be discussed.

"Beyond" is for more advance quilters. Other projects will be available based on skill level and interest.

Learn terms, tricks, methods, and get ideas.  Share your expertise.  Ask questions.  Most of all:  Have fun!

“Genetics- All About You”
Students will be introduced to the information in our genes that make us unique. The information about who we are is like a computer program stored in our cells. How does this happen, how are we alike, how are we different and what is DNA? Through four days of hands-on fun activities, we will make a bracelet of inherited traits, build a family tree, taste PTC paper to see if a gene was inherited making it taste really bitter, extract DNA from a strawberry, and play “Traits Bingo” with prizes. Students will receive safety glasses and activity books to keep. At the end of the four-day session, students will receive a certificate of completion for participating in the program at a ceremony that the parents and families are invited to attend.

Registration opens Saturday June 15th. Must come in to register.
No phone registrations will be taken as a permission form must be completed at time of registration.
