Participants bring a dish to share prepared from that months cookbook. There is a discussion about the book while we sample all the dishes. This month we will be reading and cooking from The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Dinnertime by Ree Drummond. Copies are available at the Circulation Desk. Registration is required. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate drop-ins.

Dish choices need to be submitted by Monday, June 5th to be eligible for this months program.

Join us for local author Christian McBurney's first lecture on his new book World War II Rhode Island. The state's contribution to WWII vastly exceeded its small size including a top-secret German POW camp in Narragansett and the Northeast's largest naval air station at Quonset Point. The talk will start with the scare of an enemy raid after Pearl Harbor and end with the war's final German U-boat sunk off Point Judith. Registration preferred.

Eric Fulford will teach about the different ingredients that make up a comic or cartoon, and how those pieces come together! The program will address ideas like simple illustration techniques, communicating through art, and using sequential images to tell a story that is easy to understand.
