In Bed By Ten, a local ukulele jam group will be hosting free ukulele lessons and a ukulele jam session twice a month beginning June 22nd at the Kingston Free Library. The workshops will be begin at 5:00 pm for beginning students only. At 6:00 pm the workshop will be for more advanced and experienced players. Teen Summer Program: Providence Children's Film Festival

The Providence Children's Film Festival teen summer program is much more than watching movies.

After viewing an international short film, teen participants will learn about the language of film and participate in creating their own film project that shares their voices about how they might use film to "build a better world". The Festival group hopes to combine each teen film project into a collective film that showcases the many better world building ideas of youth across Rhode Island.

Join Rebecca Killian as she teaches how to paint a specific painting using step by step instructions. She'll bring the paint, canvas, water, brushes and paper towels and break the painting down in a way that literally anyone can understand. A young Honduran woman joins her father and uncle as they make their way to the United States. During this journey she crosses paths with a teenage Mexican gang member who is seeking to leave his violent past behind. Directed by Cary Joji Fukumaga, an American film director whose other movies include Jane Eyre (2010).
