CLARITY COLLABORATION SPECIFICITY SYNERGY Do you need another way of looking at CCSS? How would you like to have more Clarity regarding what's so Common? Need more Collaboration on your Core instruction? Would you like more Specificity on what the State is thinking in regards to how all this ties together? How about seeing the Synergy in the Standards? All this and more will be yours for the taking at the Southeasters CIA Summer Summit on the New Hampshire College and Career Readiness Standards (NHCCRS) on August 14, 2013. There will workshops from field practioners (the "real" experts) on Student Learning Objectives (SLOs), performance assessments, and unit design using the new NHCCRS. Work sessions on creating unit plans, performance assessments, or discussions of your choosing with others throughout the region in your like role (art, FACS, kindergarten, math, etc.) using the new NHCCRS will be available. We will also be offering a type of format that has been successfully used by EdCamp called "Vote with your feet." For example, if you want to discuss "how the NHCCRS will change the way you do your grading" you would post this on the Google site created for this event and see how many people are interested in discussing that topic as well. If no one shows then you are free to move to another discussion that is in session. This will be a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) paperless event. Part of the event is to promote the NH Common Core Network that is accessed through the Single Sign On system through the NH DOE (where you log on to use Performance Plus and recertify every three years). So you will need to make sure you can log in to the Single Sign On through the NH DOE before August 14. There is no cost for this event for the first 300 participants. Yes, you read correctly! It's FREE. Hurry to register since spaces will be filling up fast. And yes, there will be food during a working breakfast and lunch! Plan on attending an after session at the Gaslight to keep the collaborating going...
