Bringing Down The House

Join us for a lively discussion of the next book in our narrative non-fiction book group: Bringing Down the House by Ben Mezrich.

“In the Greed Is Good ’80s, a group of MIT geniuses decided to break the bank at Las Vegas. Utilizing their own mathematical wizardry and large doses of moxie, these six co-conspirators legally beat Vegas’s largest casinos out of more than $3 million in less than two years. Harvard University graduate/thriller author Ben Mezrich has recomposed their story, an arresting hybrid of Liar’s Poker, The Cuckoo’s Egg, and Ocean’s Eleven.” -Barnes & Noble

Under the Tuscan Sun

Join us for a lively discussion of the next book in our narrative non-fiction book group: Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes.

Widely published poet, gourmet chef, and travel writer, Frances Mayes opens the door to a voluptuous new world when she buys and restores an abandoned villa in the Tuscan countryside. What she shares with her readers is a feast for the senses as she explores the pastoral Italian landscape, history and cuisine.” -Amazon.com
