St. John the Baptist Parish Central Library will be offering computer classes. Patrons are asked to have a valid library card before signing up for the class. Sign-up sheets will be located at the front desk of the Central Library.  Carly Maurin, Reference/Circulation Desk Associate will be teaching the classes in September.  The classes will feature Getting to Know Your Computer, Internet Basics, Email, and an Overall Review of all three.  After finishing the course, patrons will be given a “Certificate of Completion” for their participation in the class.  For more information, contact Carly Maurin at (985) 652-6857.

The Edgard Library has 24 scholarship books on the shelf and they will be used to help potential college bound students. Scholarships require varying levels of achievement and frequently award students based on specific criteria, such as background, field of study or hobbies. Hopefully, this program will help the patrons discover hidden treasures. Ages: Tweens & Teens
