Join us at the Stoneham Public Library as we commerate the anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing.  The Library hosts, Northeastern University and invites people to share their experience about that day.  Our Marathon is a digital archive project sponsored by Northeastern and WBUR.

A wonderful evening StoryTime for familes.  Meet author Laurie Collins and Illustrator Margie Florini.  Inspired by the PJ Drive,  authors Laurie Collins and artist Margie Florini created The Pajamas of MY Dreams a classic picture book winner of the *MoonBean Children's Book Award. A beautiful story illustrated in cut-paper collage that depicts children tucked in their beds wondering "What will I be when I grow up?"

Sit back and enjoy a wonderful story.

 

At this StoryTime The Library will be  collecting NEW Socks and Pajamas to be delivered to Cradles to Crayons, A first rate organization located in Brighton MA servicing children through age 16 throughout the Boston area.

*The Moonbeam Children's Book Awards are awarded to exemplary children's books and their creators and to support childhood literacy and life long reading.

    A short talk about the hula hoop, a teaching demonstration on how to hula hoop, and then a  performance to show different things that can be done with the hoop.  Next the program will open  up to everyone to play with the different types and sizes of hoops, with instructor either  teaching basic hooping or giving challenges and tricks to more experienced hoopers. Next   everyone will be brought together for a couple group games that teach teamwork and creativity with the hoop.

For ages 5+
