Build and fly your own Walkalong Glider!
Phil Rossoni and his Walkalong Glider program "can't recommend him highly enough!"
If you've never heard of Walkalong Gliding, you're not alone, but it's really pretty cool - instead of flying a paper airplane on gusts of wind, participants pilot their own crafts by creating an updraft and walking along behind.
Check out this video for a better explanation, or for more info. his book is also available.
While mostly boys register for this program, Phil is committed to the idea of girls & flight, and worked out an excellent plan to include both genders without conflict, or the ick factor common to mixed middle school crowd.
Author and Scientist Phil Rossoni will host this one-of--a-kind event.
Funded by a Federal Grant from LSTA
Space is limited. Registration Required. For children in grades 3~6. Parents and OLDER siblings welcome. For safety reasons NO Babies or Toddlers will be allowed in Marcy Hall.
