Join musician John Sheehan for a musical and historic overview of the guitar. In his own words:
Starting with 16th Century Lute music performed on Renaissance Lute and Guitar moving through Baroque and Classical period guitar the program will migrate from these European traditions to American music. Examples of South American music and American Blues, Country, Folk and Rock will then morph to a Contemporary Finger style guitar end to the program.
The performance will be followed by light refreshments.
This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Dorothy Henry Library and is recommended for adults and children in middle school and older.
