You may be eligible for FREE career training. Joan Strehl from Employment & Training Services of Morris, Sussex and Warren will be here to discuss these options:

  • Grant Programs: Up to $4,000 for qualified individuals to attend occupational skills training
  • On-the-Job Training: Earn while you learn!
  • Tuition Waiver: Fill an open seat and finish a college degree
  • Online Learning: Take computer, business, IT or healthcare classes from your home.

If you are transitioning between careers, recently or long-term unemployed, or even returning to the workplace after a long absence, come to today's session at the Louise Childs Branch to learn the many ways Employment and Training Services can help develop the skills you need. All services are completely free of charge.

The LC Readers will meet the first Wednesday of selected months from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Group picks will focus on thought-provoking, enjoyable, contemporary literature with occasional discussion of classical literature and notable nonfiction as well.

For our November meeting the group will read and discuss Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand. The book is available throughout the Sussex County Library System including in eBook format. Joseph E. Baatz, an Education Specialist trained by eBay, will conduct a free seminar on the right way to sell on eBay. If you have things to sell and have been intimidated in the past, this seminar will help you get started.

Fundamentals of listing, pricing and monitoring your sales will be covered. You will also learn to avoid the many costly mistakes new eBay sellers often make.

Harness the power of eBay to put more money in your pocket. Space is limited to 30 adults and registration begins October 27.
