The LC Readers will meet the first Wednesday of selected months from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Group picks will focus on thought-provoking, enjoyable, contemporary literature with occasional discussion of classical literature and notable nonfiction as well.

For the May meeting the group will read and discuss The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin. The book is available in several formats including large print, eBook and downloadable audio. Click on the title to be linked to our catalog and request a copy in the format and at the location most convenient to you.

Get tips on food preparation for the one- or two-person household and learn more about the specific nutritional needs of the elderly (low sodium, diabetes, protein requirements) from John Pagano, a registered dietitian and the Retail Dietitian at ShopRite of Byram.

Mr. Pagano will go over:

  • proper label reading
  • MyPlate
  • meal planning
  • eat-this-not-that scenarios

This free seminar is open to all interested adults but space is limited. Please register beginning April 17. Walk-ins will be welcomed if space allows.
