The LC Readers meets the first Wednesday of selected months from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Group picks will focus on thought-provoking, enjoyable, contemporary literature with occasional discussion of classical literature and notable nonfiction as well.

For today's meeting the group will read and discuss Dead Wake: The Last Crossing of the Lusitania by Erik Larsen. The book is available in several formats. Click on the title to be linked to our catalog and request a copy in the format and at the location most convenient to you.

You may be eligible for FREE career training. Joan Strehl from Employment & Training Services of Morris, Sussex and Warren will be here to discuss these options:

  • Grant Programs: Up to $4,000 for qualified individuals to attend occupational skills training
  • On-the-Job Training: Earn while you learn!
  • Tuition Waiver: Fill an open seat and finish a college degree
  • Online Learning: Take computer, business, IT or healthcare classes from your home.

If you are transitioning between careers, recently or long-term unemployed, or even returning to the workplace after a long absence, come to today's session a the Louise Childs Branch to learn the many ways Employment and Training Services can help develop the skills you need. All services are completely free of charge.

Learn the right way to sell on eBay from Joseph E. Baatz, an Education Specialist trained by eBay.

If you have things to sell and have been intimidated in the past, this seminar will help you get started. Learn to list, price and monitor your sales. Just as important, learn to avoid the costly mistakes many new eBay sellers make.

Program is limited to 30 adults. Registration begins April 11. If you can't make today's program it will be repeated on Saturday, May 21.
