Minecrafters in first grade and older are invited to meet like-minded gamers and swap tips and tricks with other Minecrafters!

Children are encouraged to bring their own device (laptop, iPad, iPod, Android, etc.) and should have their own Minecraft account (available from https://minecraft.net).

Club limited to 12 players. Registration is preferred and begins April 19. Walk-ins also welcome if space allows.

Kids ages 6 months through 4 years are invited to Louise Childs Branch every Thursday through May 12 for stories, songs, activities and free play. This special program encompasses a wide age range making it perfect for kids with younger siblings. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Registration begins April 4. You can register here for the 10:00 a.m. session or scroll down to the 11:00 a.m. session below. Please do not register for both. Learn how the puppies of the 4-H Seeing Eye Puppy Raising Project* are socialized and trained by puppy raisers who are both children and adults. These puppies are so cute and represent many breeds including Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers and German Shepherds. If you love learning about dogs, especially the ones that serve people, this is the place to be!

You will also find out how you can become a puppy raiser!

This will be a fun program for the whole family but space is limited. Please register beginning April 18 and create a separate form for each family member attending.

*The Seeing Eye is a philanthropic organization whose mission is to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye dogs. Special thanks to Linda Kabis of the 4-H Seeing Eye Puppy Club for sharing her work and the club's puppies with us.

Join us for our annual American Girl Mother/Daughter Tea Party! There will be finger food, mother/daughter crafts, and tea or lemonade. If there is a special snack you'd like to share please bring it.

Registration begins April 30. Please complete separate forms for mother and daughter. This is the final American Girl Club program for the summer, meetings will resume in fall.

Each child will be allowed a full 10 minutes of one-on-one reading time. The dogs provide an uncritical ear while the children gain self-esteem, confidence, public speaking skills and a love of reading. The dogs never interrupt or criticize!

Each child signs up for a specific time slot:  4:00, 4:15, 4:30 or 4:45. Registration begins May 10 and is in person or over the phone by calling the Louise Childs Branch at 973 770-1000. Register early, slots fill up quickly.

Please arrive on time with a couple of books or early enough to pick out some library books.

We've gathered a large and varied collection of our favorite plastic building bricks that can be put together in endless combinations. Work alone, bring a friend, or even make new friends as you build, rearrange and demolish all your LEGO creations.
