If it's September then it is apple time.  The Friends of the Swansea Public Library presents the 8th Annual Apple Pie contest.  All bakers are encouraged to bake their best apple pies and drop them off at the library, no later than 6PM.  Check the website for rules and regulations  Prizes will be awarded.

Thee Teen Advisory Council is organizing for the upcoming year.   The Council needs new members to be readers, writers, bloggers and surfers to help at the library.  Members will  write book reviews, plan programs and events, assist with the Summer Reading Programs, Teen Tech Week and Teen Read Week.  Teens will also host movie nights, gaming nights and help the library become more teen friendly,  Join us at this meeting and learn more about how YOU can make a difference!

Actor Richard Clarke returns to the Swansea Public Library to perform his one man show, Atticus, based on the character of Atticus Finch from the pages of the classic novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird".  Join us for this wonderful performance at the library.  This program is made possible thanks to the Swansea Local Cultural Council.

Fall Story Hour and Crafts takes place every Monday during September and October.   Story Hour will last through Monday October 31st and will conclude with our annual Halloween costume party.  Join us as we celebrate the Fall Season in all its glory with seasonal stories, harvest crafts and frightening fun.  This story hour is for 3-5 year olds (but little brothers and sisters can come too). 

Please remember that all children who attend Story Hour must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver.

Every Friday afternoon we will have board games and puzzles for little ones.  Play one of the library's games or put together one of our puzzles.  It's great fun every Friday in the Fall.  Why board games and puzzles?

Fall Story Hour and Crafts takes place every Monday during September and October.   Story Hour will last through Monday October 31st and will conclude with our annual Halloween costume party.  Join us as we celebrate the Fall Season in all its glory with seasonal stories, harvest crafts and frightening fun.  This story hour is for 3-5 year olds (but little brothers and sisters can come too). 

Please remember that all children who attend Story Hour must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver.
