Guest speaker Kit Harrington Hayes will give her presentation, "How To Sell Your Age As An Advantage."  The presentation will help you address age stereotypes, dispel self-doubts, and launch or reboot a job search campaign that gets results.  Kit, founder of LifeWork Design, has been consulting and coaching adults in transition for over 25 years.  She is also the author of  the book,"Managing Career Transitions."

Agenda: Attendees will introduce themselves at 2pm.  Speaker will begin by 2:15pm. After the speaker's presentation, attendees will participate in a brief 'accountability' exercise.  After the exercise, attendees are encouraged to network with each other.  Casual dress.  BYOC - Bring Your Own Coffee.

For kids who are reading in Kindergarten on up through 6th grade. Kids (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one session with the adorable Misti and her handler. It has been proven that reading to a therapy dog helps soothe many reading anxieties and builds skills and reading fluency. Each session lasts for 15 minutes. Bring your own book or borrow one of ours to read. No other adults or children are allowed into the room during the session (outside of the handler).

Sessions are at 4:30pm, 4:45pm, 5:00pm and 5:15pm.

Call the Children's desk at 978-640-4496 to sign up for a session. Right now we are limiting to one session per month per dog. Sorry, no online registration is available. Registration begins September 17th.

Author Kevin Vantour will discuss his book, "The Bruins Book: A Statistical and Photographical History of the Boston Bruins."  Kevin is a lifelong Bruins fan.  His book contains information about the team, its history, its achievements and its players, and includes every game, season, record, trade, goal and assist - regular season or playoff - from the team's first 75 years (1924-1998).  The book also features more than 100 illustrations, including program guides, player and team photos, and memorabilia.  Q&A after the talk.

Author Elisabeth Elo will discuss her book, "North of Boston."  Elisabeth, who received her PhD in American Literature at Brandeis University, teaches writing and literature in the Boston area.  Her debut thriller has received wide-spread critical acclaim, hailed as the "Year's Best Crime Novel" by Booklist.  The story, set on the gritty Boston Waterfront, features Pirio Kasparov, who survives a ship sinking in cold Atlantic waters, but whose captain does not.  Pirio becomes suspicious that the "accident" was no accident and is determined to find the truth.  In doing so, the story slowly builds into something larger and more disturbing.  Q&A and book signing after the talk.

Writer Tom Acitelli, author of "The Audacity of Hops: The History of America's Craft Beer Revolution," will discuss the latest trends in American craft beer.  Tom is a columnist for "All About Beer," the nation's leading trade magazine for the brewing industry, and is the founding editor of "Curbed Boston."  Tom was a senior editor at the New York Observer, and has also written for the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.   His book, a great read for "craft beer nerds" and general fans of good food and drink, details all the favorite craft beers, discusses forgotten heroes from the movement's earliest days, and explores the history of homebrewing since Prohibition.  Q&A and book signing after the talk.

Authors Mike Sullivan & Karen Mossey will discuss their book, "Spooky Creepy New England."   Karen and Mike are paranormal investigators based in New England who specialize in Electronic Voice Phenomena and Paranormal Photography.  (Some of Karen's EVP work was used in the movie "White Noise" and in an episode of the TV show, "Ghost Whisperer.")  Their book details some of their ghost investigations at some of the notoriously famous haunted locations in historic New England.  Q&A and book signing after the talk.

Guest speaker Barbara Alevras will give her presentation, "How To Develop Productive Professional Relationships."  The presentation will discuss the importance of developing and nuturing professional relationships, including establishing realistic networking goals; developing an effective networking plan;  and implementing a pragmatic contact management strategy.  You will leave this highly interactive session with easy-to-apply information and ideas you can put into action immediately.  Barbara, a certified project management professional, is the founder and owner of Sage Consulting Services.

Agenda: Attendees will introduce themselves at 2pm.  Speaker will begin by 2:15pm. After the speaker's presentation, attendees will participate in a brief 'accountability' exercise.  After the exercise, attendees are encouraged to network with each other.  Casual dress.  BYOC - Bring Your Own Coffee.

For kids who are reading in Kindergarten on up through 6th grade. Kids (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one session with the adorable Misti and her handler. It has been proven that reading to a therapy dog helps soothe many reading anxieties and builds skills and reading fluency. Each session lasts for 15 minutes. Bring your own book or borrow one of ours to read. No other adults or children are allowed into the room during the session (outside of the handler).

Sessions are at 4:30pm, 4:45pm, 5:00pm and 5:15pm.

Call the Children's desk at 978-640-4496 to sign up for a session. Right now we are limiting to one session per month per dog. Sorry, no online registration is available. Registration begins September 17th.

Boston Celtics legend Jo Jo White and author Mark Bodanza will discuss their book, "Make It Count - The Life and Times of Basketball Great Jo Jo White."  Jo Jo White, a two-time NBA champion with the Boston Celtics, is considered by many to be the greatest NBA player not inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame.  Mark Bodanza is a sports historian.  Their book chronicles Jo Jo White's compelling career, complete with drama, triumphs and losses, as well as an affirmation that hard work has its reward.  Q&A and book signing after the talk.

We'll take Monster Contest Submissions starting Monday, Oct. 20th through October 28th at 7:00. Voting begins on October 29th at 10:00 a.m. and runs through October 31st at 5:00 p.m. Winners will be notified on November 1st.

Kim Zunino, President of the Tewksbury Historial Society, will explore cemeteries in Tewksbury in a multimedia presentation, focusing on gravestone symbolism and graveyard myths.  Kim, a member of the Association of Gravestone Studies, leads the Tewksbury Historical Society's annual cemetery tours.  Q&A to follow the talk.

NOTE: The next "Tewksbury Talk" will be held on Monday, November 24 at 7pm, when former TMHS football players and coaches will discuss the Tewksbury-Wilmington Thanksgiving Game rivalry.  These monthly Tewksbury Talks will focus on topics related to Tewksbury, both current events and local history.

For kids who are reading in Kindergarten on up through 6th grade. Kids (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one session with the adorable Misti and her handler. It has been proven that reading to a therapy dog helps soothe many reading anxieties and builds skills and reading fluency. Each session lasts for 15 minutes. Bring your own book or borrow one of ours to read. No other adults or children are allowed into the room during the session (outside of the handler).

Sessions are at 4:30pm, 4:45pm, 5:00pm and 5:15pm.

Call the Children's desk at 978-640-4496 to sign up for a session. Right now we are limiting to one session per month per dog. Sorry, no online registration is available. Registration begins September 17th.

Author Peter Cummings will explore the autopsy of President John F. Kennedy.  Peter, author of "The Neuropathology Of Zombies," is the Director of Forensic Neuropathology at the Boston office of the Massachustts Medical Examiner.  Peter will discuss work on "Cold Case: JFK," a PBS NOVA-documentary which explores what science can tell us about the JFK Assassination.  The documentary features many forensic innovations, including: test-firing the exact model of rifle and ammunition used by Lee Harvey Oswald; high-speed videography to understand how these particular bullets behave in flight and in human tissue; multiple wound ballistics and tissue stimulants to test the Warren Commission's controversial "magic bullet" theory; contemporary 3D laser scans to recreate and analyze the physical crime scene and possible bullet trajectories, including "the grassy knoll;" and a virtual autopsy of JFK's body.  See a clip of Peter in action HERE. Q&A after the talk.

Author William J. Hall will discuss his book, "The World's Most Haunted House: The True Story Of The Bridgeport Poltergeist On Lindley Street."  William, born and raised in the community where the event took place, is professionally equipped to recognize trickery, having performed for more than 25 years as a magician.  His book explores the story of the 1974 Bridgeport, Connecticut poltergeist, where a crowd of more than 2,000 onlookers and the national media reported jumping furniture, floating refrigerators, and attacking entities.  Relive the experience, the terror, the rampant emotions, and the unexplainable events that took place in that house as they happened; hear revealing experts from actual interviews, police reports, and rare documents; and listen to unreleased audio from the scene.  Q&A and book signing after the talk.

Guest speaker Steve Pangione will give his presentation, "How To Know What The Hiring Manager REALLY Wants."  The presentation will offer interviewing tips for job seekers from someone who actually trains hiring managers how to interview.  Get a better understanding of what those sitting on the other side of the table is thinking during an interview!  Steve, an experienced human resources professional, is President of HR Solutions.

Agenda: Attendees will introduce themselves at 2pm.  Speaker will begin by 2:15pm. After the speaker's presentation, attendees will participate in a brief 'accountability' exercise.  After the exercise, attendees are encouraged to network with each other.  Casual dress.  BYOC - Bring Your Own Coffee.

Historian Christopher Daley, author of the upcoming "Homicide In The Hub," returns for his annual visit.  In this year's multimedia presentation, Chris will explore the John F. Kennedy Assassination, which occured 51 years ago this week.  Chris, a history teacher, will recount the tragic events of November 22, 1963 in vivid detail, through the use of witness statements, photographs, diagrams, Chris's own pictures and videos of sites in Dallas, and - of course - the famous Zapruder Film.  Q&A after the presentation.

Authors Tom & Ellen Zappala will discuss their book, "The Cracker Jack Collection: Baseballs Prized Players."  Tom, co-host of a popular radio show, and Ellen, past president of the New England Press Association, have also authored the award-winning "The T206 Collection: The Players & Their Stories" as well as "Nardo: Memoirs of a Boxing Champion," the autobiography of former Welterweight Champion Tony DeMarco.  Their latest book celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Cracker Jack Ball Player card set, filled with original images of the Ball Player cards, Cracker Jack prizes, and baseball memorabilia from the era.  The book includes a comprehensive history of the Cracker Jack product and the evolution of prizes like the Ball Players cards as a unique marketing tool.  Q&A and book signing after the talk.
