Whether you are new to computers or just want to use them more effectively, this series of three sessions will get you on your way. Participants will learn how to navigate their way around an Internet Web page, use various ways to select options that are common to Web pages, cut and paste, enter search terms, and fill in on-line forms. Learn the basics of saving files and printing and find out what various types of software can do for you. There will be an introduction to the Internet and using Search Engines. Participants should have a basic familiarity with using a keyboard and mouse.

Two sessions are being offered in December. Both a morning and an evening session is available. Each series is made up of 3 one hour sessions.

    The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a project of the Avon Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Since 1992, the Foundation has raised and awarded more than $580 million to breast cancer research and care organizations worldwide. Funds are awarded for breast cancer scientific research, access to treatment, diagnosis and screening, support services, education and awareness, all with a focus on the medically underserved.

This hour-long information meeting on the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer – Boston will cover the basics of the Walk – where the money goes, what the event weekend looks like and how you can become a walker, crew member or volunteer for the 2010 Boston Walk (May 15-16, 2010).

    The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer is a project of the Avon Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Since 1992, the Foundation has raised and awarded more than $580 million to breast cancer research and care organizations worldwide. Funds are awarded for breast cancer scientific research, access to treatment, diagnosis and screening, support services, education and awareness, all with a focus on the medically underserved.

This hour-long information meeting on the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer – Boston will cover the basics of the Walk – where the money goes, what the event weekend looks like and how you can become a walker, crew member or volunteer for the 2010 Boston Walk (May 15-16, 2010).
