Join the The Mysterious Benedict Society FAN club for the summer - the FUN Book Club for kids entering or completing grade 4 or 5! The title we read for June was: "The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey" by Trenton Lee Stewart. It is the second book in the popular series "The Mysterious Benedict Society" . Earlier this year we read the first one. If you want to attend, read part of the first in the series "The Mysterious Benedict Society"or the second one, or all in the series! We'll try some brain teasers, riddles and make secret codes using a technique from book #2, and talk about what happened in the books. Try our brainteasers and riddles, or bring some of your own for the group to guess. This Mysterious Benedict Fan Club is a fun activity we're trying for the summer. We meet again on Wed August 14 at 6:30. T. Part of the "Dig into Reading" Summer Reading Program for Children.
In August, the kids will choose a different author to read for the September book club, when we return to the one book a month format. In our sessions, we chat about books we like, have snacks and fun, and usually play a game! You can get a copy of the book from our Book Club shelf or reserve a copy from Old Colony Library Network. If you don't have time to finish it, come to Book Club anyway. All kids in grades 4 and 5 are welcome. During the school year, we meet one Thursday evening a month, and talk about a different book each time. Held in the Children's Room.
