The library's Teen Advisory Group plans programs, events, and displays for the library. We meet on Wednesday mornings during the summer. Robot-Mania!  For ages 6-11. Imagine what a robot could look like, then build it with LEGO's. Can also make one of blocks or cans or paper. If like to draw, there will be step-by-step directions to draw a basic robot, then choose some easy gears, dials, switches to draw on it. Where will your imagination take you?

Learn all about the exciting world of mixed media art in this four-part class taught by popular artsist Robyn Franczyk.  Registration for this program opens on June 16, 2014 and is limited to teens ages 12-17.

       For August book club, the kids picked "Tuck Everlasting" by Babbit. What would it be like if someone made a formula, or found a way that could make you live for years and years, longer than others. Would you like to live forever?

      This is a FUN Book Club for kids in grade 4 and 5!  We chat about books we like, have snacks and fun, and usually play a game!  You can get a copy of the book from staff or reserve a copy from Old Colony Library Network.If you don't have time to finish it, come to Book Club anyway.  All kids in grades 4 and 5 are welcome. The kids choose the books to read next.  We meet one Thursday evening a month, and talk about a different book each month. Come see Disney's latest hit movie staring sisters Anna and Elsa- with an extra Twist- audience participation!    Plot: Fearless optimist Anna teams up with Kristoff in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna's sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom in eternal winter.  During the movie, any kids that want to can sing the popular songs along with Elsa, or say lines and even act out the motions. They can stand under the screen, or from their chair. Everyone who wants to may join in!

ROBOT-mania! Read any one of the "Ricky Ricotta" series by Pilkey. They are a bit wild and crazy! This book club meeting will be held in Children's Room- near the photocopier and magazine area instead of the regular room.

We chat about the book, and usually play a game. Snacks provided. The kids pick the titles!  Copies available at the Children's Room desk.The club meets one Tuesday afternoon a month at 3:45. We meet in part of Logan Auditorium, just beyond the puzzle and stained glass windows of the Children's Room.
