You can get a copy from our Book Club shelf or reserve a copy from Old Colony Library Network. We'll chat about it, and maybe play a game. Snacks provided. All kids in grades 2 & 3 are welcome, even if you haven't finished the book! We meet in the back of the Program Room, which is next to the Stained Glass/puzzle area of Children's Room. The club meets one Tuesday afternoon a month at 3:45. We'll continue having Book

Quests - Turn a walk into a treasure hunt while exploring the outdoors! They're a fun family activity, with clues to follow. There's about 12 on the South Shore, including at least one at Wompatuck State Park. Some people bring birthday party guests on a quest as a great group activity (hint if you do a group- give only 1 clue at time so they don't go too far ahead). Come find out how a "quest" works! Someone from "South Shore Quests" (the group that maintains and publicizes them) will explain more about these outdoor treasure hunts for about 10 minutes. Then they'll lead kids in a stamp making project, as stamps are used when one reaches the end of a quest. Limited to the first 20 children who arrive, age 5 - 11.
People can buy 2013 South Shore Quests books containing all the South Shore quests, updated. Available for $5.00 at: Blue Hills Fitness, 288 Wood Road, Braintree 781-849-0444 Turner Free Library, 2 North Main Street, Randolph 781-961-0932 New England Wildlife Center, 500 Columbian Street, Weymouth 781-682-4878.
