The Upper St. Clair League for the Arts is proud to feature artist Patrick Lee as its guest speaker at its next meeting, Tuesday, September 8.

   Patrick is a professional artist and teacher who has exhibited work at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH, the State Museum of Pennsylvania, and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art.  He has been involved in numerous group exhibitions, including the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts' 2009 Mid-Atlantic Juried Art Exhibition in which he received the “Best in Show” honor.  In 2011, he was selected as one of only fifty finalists in the America China Oil Painting Artist's League's nationwide competition, Exhibition of Contemporary American and Chinese Realism.

   In 2012 and 2013, he participated in the first and second annual Plein Air Mt. Lebanon events in which he took 2nd place and Grand Prize honors, respectively.  Additionally, in 2013 he was selected as one of only fifty-eight artists to participate in Plein Air Easton, the largest and most prestigious plein air painting event in the U.S.  His work is included in many private and public collections, including Saint Vincent College and Archabbey and the Borough of Mt. Lebanon.  He currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife, Krista and their son, Tiernan.

The meeting will be held at the downstairs conference room of the Upper St. Clair Library, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania 15241, just behind the police station. Business meeting begins at 7:30; presentation begins at 8 p.m. and is open to the public.
