Heartsaver CPR Class : $25/person

This course teaches CPR and AED use as well as how to relieve choking on victims of all ages. It is for anyone with limited or no medical training. A course completion card is available to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. 

Heartsaver CPR/First Aid Class : $35/person

Stay for the second class and learn critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutets until EMS arrives. A course completion card is available to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Payment is due at the time of the event. Cash or check accepted. Please make check payable to Tri-Community South EMS.

There’s “Snow” Better Time To Read!

 

When the weather outside is frightful…Reading is so delightful!  Reading can be “snow” much fun if you join our 2015 Winter Reading Program and help build the Library snowman.  This year, kids will read books on their reading level and listen to books read to them by a grown-up.  Follow the staff signs for books to share with one another.  Get a snowball for every book you read or listen to, and if you complete 30 books you’ll get a special prize!

Each week in this six week class, participants will explore the lives of artists through books and art activities.  This winter we will learn about: Cave Art, Paul Cezanne, Henri Rosseau, Wassily Kandinsky, Frida Kahlo and Georgia O’Keefe.  Kids will also have the chance to see the artists’ works projected on the Library’s large screen TV before creating their own art based on the artist’s style.

 

Dates:                   January 20/21 through February 24/25

Times:                   Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m.

Registration is open to as many participants who wish to be involved.  Teams must be made up of a parent and one/two children.  The children must be in 3rd grade and all team members must be related.  Begin reading your books when you sign-up!

 

The 3rd Grade Battle will be held on Monday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m.  (Doors open at 5:30 p.m.)

 

Registration for all Battles will begin on Monday, January 12 and end on Saturday, January 31.  Registration takes place in person, at the Library.
