The Creativity Lab programs offer tweens and teens a chance to try their hand at a variety of STEAM projects and socialize. This week we'll make some chocolate treats, and also some art during the cooling phase of production. Snacks provided. Grades 6-12, please register.

What is consent? What is sexual assault? How can you protect yourself? Where do you go for help? A panel of experts will facilitate an interactive presentation for older teens that will emphasize practical, hands-on skills and information to promote safety and independence. Using the national “It’s On Us: Stop Sexual Assault” campaign and other resources, the discussion will focus on sexual assault and the topics of recognizing sexual assault, identifying situations in which sexual assault may occur, bystander awareness, strategies to know when and how to intervene, creating an environment where sexual assault is unacceptable, how to help survivors of sexual assault, and prevention strategies. For ages 16 and older, parents welcome to view as well. Teen attendees will earn Community Service credit and be entered into the drawing for a $75.00 Visa gift card.

Students entering grade 7 and up can earn community service credit for assisting with summer programs at the Library. Jobs include helping prepare crafts, working with younger children during programs, and some computer tasks. Fill out a volunteer form prior to this mandatory volunteer orientation. Teens should also bring their summer calendars so they know which dates they are available to volunteer.
