High school students applying to colleges know the importance of writing a great essay to help get into the dream school. We know that this process can be very stressful and teens often don't know where to begin. This 3 session seminar is for you. Dr. Mary Christensen, retired professor from the University of Hartford, will be running an essay writing class to help you get started on writing that perfect essay. The classes will meet on 3 Saturday afternoons (August 11, 18, and 25) from 12-2 PM at the library. The program is free but teens are asked to bring a food donation for the local food pantry. Due to the nature of the program, registrations will be limited to ten high school students who are able to commit to attending all three dates.

        There are 7 spaces available.
