    Story Time Fun! Join Maria Ruiz, from Bebes Activos, during our bilingual storytime for children ages 3-8 and their grown-ups. No Registration is Needed. This is a free drop-in program. Each program will include songs, stories and more and families will be introduced to the library's bilingual book collection. This program is funded through a grant from the Wallingford Foundation of the Rotary Club in cooperation with the WECARE and The Wallingford Public Library.

    Join us for a stimulating and spine-tingling evening as Dr. Nicholas Bellantoni brings back the dead in this very special program about real vampire beliefs in New England. Learn about exhuming corpses and arranging their bones in strange ways as well as other forensic discoveries and practices. Revisit the "undead" superstitions held by the early colonists in Connecticut and neighboring states. All are welcome to attend this free event.

The Wallingford group is the state’s oldest; it has been in existence for almost 20 years!     What’s New in Children’s Books? Childcare providers, parents and teachers are invited to join children’s librarians Ruth Gaffey and Susan Stewart for a “night out” with some great new books for kids. This is a Storyhour for grownups where we will share some of the absolute best new books for kids; explain why they will be making appearances on all the upcoming “best books” lists, and why they will be useful in your home or work. If you are looking for great new titles to share with the kids in your care, this is the program for you. Continuing Education credits will be given to those who require them, and there will be a free raffle of children’s books and materials following the program. Pizza will be available at the start of the program. This program is being co-sponsored by WECARE and WPL.
