Hike with us to learn all about the habitats, feeding habits, shape and size, flight patterns, field marks, vocaliztions, and more of local birds!  We will be walking on a trail through the woods, so please dress accordingly. We will meet at the Kohler Environmental Center (211 East Main Street). 

For grades 3-6.

The Wallingford Public Library is proud to welcome Maureen Sherry, author of the Nutmeg nominated Walls Within Walls. Students in grades 2 and up are invited to join us for a fun and memorable evening with Ms. Sherry as she talks about her book, writing process, and life in general. Ms. Sherry will sign books after the program (books will be available for purchase). This program has been made possible by a gift from the Faustman Fund.

If you've joined us for an instructional hike during the week, come out to Tyler Mill Nature Preserve for our "Race for Birds" event!  Teams will hike through Tyler Mill trying to see how many different species they can find.  At 10:00 a.m., we will gather to compare notes!  We will meet in the small Tyler Mill Road parking area, just off of Northford Rd.

For grades 3-6. 

Registration is required.  To participate in this hike, you must have attended at least one instructional hike during the week.

In this yoga class for grades K-2, Mrs. Cocchi will use poses and movement to enhance reading skills by adding kinesthetic, auditory, and vision components, which enhances story retention, sequencing, characterization and dialogue.
