misc_none 5:30 PM  -  7:30 PM WECARE workshop: Yoga in the preschool setting Remind Me about this Event   Tell a Friend

Our children live in a hurry up world of busy parents, school pressures, incessant lessons, video games, malls and competitive sports. WE usually don't think of these influences as stress for our kids, but often they are. The bustling pace of our children's lives can have a projound effect on their innate joy and usually not for th ebetter. Yoga can help counter these pressures. Yoga at an early age encourages self esteen and body awareness with physical activity that's non competitve. Fostering cooperation and compassion instead of opposition is a great gift to give children. Doing yoga, children exercise, play, connect more deeply with the inner self, and develope an intimate relationship with the natural world that surrounds them. This program will help preschool teachers and parents bring that marvelous inner light that all chilren have to the surface. For more information check out www.yogajournal.com. Bring along a yoga mat for fun!  Presented by Sue Schade.

Program begins at 6:15pm preceded by a light meal at 5:30pm for those who register. Certificates of attendance will be provided for those requiring them. For more information call (203) 284-4019
