Kick off the summer at this fun event. Professional artist Rashmi Talpade will introduce REPRESENT: What Makes You Special?, our latest community art project for families of all ages.

Then Anthony DePoto of innerAct Theatre will conduct an improvisation workshop that promotes team building, communication, and helping folks of all ages find what makes them special. Anthony uses improvisational theatre exercises and games to help children, adults, and families better communicate and work together. All games are fun, exciting, and collaborative.

All ages welcome, but the improv activities are best suited to ages 5 and up. Please register each improv participant individually.

Sign up to talk to real live astronauts living on the International Space Station! More information about this program, including the specific 20-minute downlink window, will be available in the Children’s Room.

For ages 5 & up (no younger siblings please, background noise will limit the astronauts' ability to hear us!). 

Registration is required. Due to the special nature of this program registration will be limited to Wallingford residents. Please call (203) 284-6436 or stop by the Children's Room to register beginning June 7th. Two weeks prior to the event NASA will assign us a 20 minute time slot between 10:30am-1pm to skype with astronaut Jack Fischer and this information will be emailed to all registrants. STEM activities for families to enjoy will be available in the library from 10:30-1pm.
