Each month we’ll choose a theme and bring two different titles together to make an unlikely pairing.  We’ll discuss how they relate, how they differ, and how one makes you think differently about the other.  Fiction and nonfiction!  Mystery and memoir!  Comedy and crime!

Our first pairing is Agatha Christie’s Autobiography and The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley.  So join up, tell a friend, and get ready for an exciting discussion.

Don’t be afraid: these twos aren’t terrible!

Have you ever written a song?  Crafted a memory book?

Ever acted out a Shakespeare play?  Made a fancy dessert?

Well, me neither!

We all have certain things we would like to do or try, but we don’t because we’re busy, scared, or unsure how to begin.  Since these “little things” can build up, our new club is designed to take the time to try them as a group.  We’ll make our own list and try a different one each month!

So why get cross when you can cross off?

Have you ever written a song?  Crafted a memory book?

Ever acted out a Shakespeare play?  Made a fancy dessert?

Well, me neither!

We all have certain things we would like to do or try, but we don’t because we’re busy, scared, or unsure how to begin.  Since these “little things” can build up, our new club is designed to take the time to try them as a group.  We’ll make our own list and try a different one each month!

So why get cross when you can cross off?
