Since 1776 when Abigail Adams wrote "remember the ladies" to her husband John women have been mere footnotes and afterthoughts when it comes to public recognition.  Not until 1989 when a group of Boston school teachers and librarians, along with their students, inaugurated the BWHT were the ladies properly feted.

And, a new trail has been added in East Boston.  Some of the research was done at the Winthrop Public Library and by interviewing Winthrop residents.

Please join us for this free program.  All are welcome and remember, it's NOT just for ladies.  Light refreshments served.

Join the multi-talented Winthrop resident, Gerard Leary for a free Creative Writing course.

If you can tell a story, write a letter or compose an email, you're already an accomplished writer.  This course will encourage you to ignite your fertile imagination, create characters and formulate a story line.  No worries about spelling, punctuation or grammar.  Gerard is your editor!  The only requirement is that you promise to write 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week.  Oh, and, practice writing your signature.  You'll need it at your first book signing.

Free classes and no registration required.
