Each session will feature a different type of mindfulness meditation, and will include information, practice, and discussion. Optional text (copies available at the library) is Mindfulness for Beginners by Jon Kabat-Zinn. Funding for this program is provided by the Howard Lang Trust

A three time finalist in the Cape’s Eventide Songwriting Competition, Di Gioia describes her music as combining “word nerd lyrical skills with rock ‘n’ roll energy”.

The band features Di Gioia on vocals and rhythm guitar, J Hagenbuckle on lead guitar,  Melody Masi on backing vocals and Peter Giordano on bass. Together their sound is upbeat, guitar driven, and powered by danceable rhythms, with influences from surf to rockabilly to swing blues.

    Contact: Circulation Desk   (508) 430-7562 *1   brooksfreelibrary@clamsnet.org

New England natives Andy & Judy are a Boston based folk duo who perform regularly at Folk music coffeehouses, libraries and concert venues all over the Northeast. In addition to their local schedule they tour through the Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Great Lakes Regions, and have been featured on popular national and international folk music radio programs.”

During a concert they perform original songs in many different styles, such as traditional Folk, roots music, country swing or gospel. They tell stories through their songs - many of which are based on historical events, times or places. Their close harmonies blend Judy’s evocative alto and Andy’s deep baritone. Beginning instrumentally with a classic folk guitar base, Andy & Judy have deepened their sound through the addition of mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and harmonica. The audience is encouraged to participate by singing along, clapping or stomping.
The instrumental complexity presented on their five albums, Riverbend, Dragonfly, Follow Your Dream, This Old Town and Reflections, support the increasing lyrical depth of their compositions.
