Get Beneath the SAT: Summer SAT Prep

Locally renowned test prep teacher, Phil McCaffrey, will be leading a series of 8 SAT Prep sessions. He will be using his highly-refined "FLIP Test Prep" method. Students will take real SAT exams before class. Topics will be driven by students figuring out what they do not know in advance. Then, tracking their mistakes by concepts, each student will be given a study plan tailored to their own needs.
Cost is $120 ($15 per session). Sign up by June 5th and we will include all materials!
Class is limited to first 12 students who register and pay in advance. Registration required.

Our Friday morning Journal Writing group invites everyone to a special presentation on writing by author and teacher Pam O’Brien, who teaches her well-regarded class “Writing Your Memoirs” at the University of Pittsburgh’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. She also teaches in Pitt’s English Department and is the Associate Director of Public and Professional Writing. She has published four books of poetry, her latest being The Answer to Each Is the Same. Pam will discuss and suggest a writing exercise with time for Q&A.
