Ride For A Reason Charity Event
February 13th, 2010 - Mark February 12, 13, on your calendar. Ride for a Reason is a snowmobile Ride Originating in Swan River in Support of "A Port in the Storm"; a Manitoba project for Rural and northern People. Each year, from Parkland region alone, just under 7000 patient days are spent in Winnipeg by adults needing specialized medical care. We all have family and friends that could have benefitted and will benefit from A Port in the Storm. Trails and additional details to follow. This event begins with a meet and greet on February 12th, and the ride taking place on the 13th.

A Port In The Storm is a unifying initiative for all communities in the province. In every town or Villiage we have family or neighbours who could have benefited, and will benefit from A Port In the Storm while staying in Winnipeg for specialized medical care. The house will be located in Winnipeg and provide a haven for rural and northern residents. This is a fundraising event which begins with
breakfast 7am-11am as well as a Treasure Hunt at 9am-3pm and then Ride for a reason starting at 9am-4pm with lunch on the trail.
Registration fee is $20.00
Headquarters is the Thunderbird Friendship Centre
