Please join Riva as she explores her favorite gallery shows of the winter/spring 2024 season.
Riva likes to end each season with highlights from her favorites shows. Her focus this time will
be materiality. She’ll be looking at ceramics by Toshiko Takaezu, altars and healing gongs made
out of paper, cotton and found objects by Guadelupe Maravilla and photographs constructed
by Vik Muniz. There’s lots of options for the fourth artist, so join Riva and be surprised.

My Child is Trans, Now What? A Joy-Centered Approach to Support
The Friends of the Weston Public Library are proud to host Weston's own Ben Greene, public speaker, LGBTQ+ Inclusion Consultant, and openly transgender man for a special book launch for My Child is Trans, Now What? A Joy-Centered Approach to Support. Join us as we celebrate this new release and learn some of the ways you can support a trans child.
Ben Greene was born and raised in Weston. He has dedicated his career to spreading empathy, awareness, and understanding about the transgender community. He is active on the speaking circuit, with audiences ranging from the UK’s Diversity Live! to NASA. Ben is a guest lecturer on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Cornell University in addition to serving on the board of the Tufts Master’s Degree in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Science and stories collide in this all-new, interactive STEM show for Summer Reading ’24!
Join us on a treasure-hunting adventure deep within the jungle! The audience helps the performer act out the tale, as we use the events in the story to explore several exciting science concepts:
