America Reads is a literacy program held in partnership with Wheaton College. College students help kids in grades 1 - 3 with reading, writing or spelling with creative & fun activities. The library will be closed on Columbus Day, October 12, so no program will be held on that day. Dates are subject to slight change depending on Wheaton's schedule.

"Art of Conversation: a brown-bag discussion"
Participants will sit in small groups to discuss miscellaneous topics drawn from a "brown bag" collection. All participants can feel free to add to the collection so their ideas have an opportunity to be discussed.
The idea was shaped by reflecting on recent experiences of the divisive nature of our beliefs when we exercise them, and the need to provide a formal counterbalance of experience within our community that lends itself to bridging the chasm by creating and sharing dialogue.
Please join us!
