   7:00 PM  -  8:45 PM King Philip's War - Gary Hylander

The greatest calamity in seventeenth-century New England was concentrated in the years 1675-1678.  Twelve towns were destroyed and many others attacked, while many thousands of lives were lost on both sides of
the conflict.

Who was King Philip, and what caused him to depart from the peaceful relations with the European settlers which his father Massasoit had maintained for nearly four decades?

Dr. Hylander will cover these questions and describe the ultimate effects on relations between the natives and the settlers.

7:00 PM  -  8:45 PM Tell Me About Yourself

That is often the most common question that begins an interview. It’s a critical part of the interview because it sets the stage for the remainder of the inter view. Discussion will cover best practices on what to say, what examples to highlight, where to begin, and when/where to end to make it a compelling story. This highly interactive workshop will leave you with a new-found confidence about how to talk about yourself.

The discussion is lead by Gary Gekow, a Senior Employment Specialist/Career Coach with 30 years of recruiting experience in the Boston staffing industry. He works closely with client companies in many industries, and assists job seekers in various specialties with résumé writing, interview preparation, and career counseling services.
