Muvafika's Cursive Writing

In today’s technologically advanced world where the computer is an integral part of one’s life, the role of handwriting seems to lose its significance. We are here to stress the importance of handwriting which in fact, reflects one’s personality. Any vital document can be validated only through a person’s own handwriting so it has to be legible and neat. Good handwriting can never be replaced by any kind of technology so ‘Muvafika's Cursive Writing’ gives the child extensive practice in Cursive writing, which is beautiful in its own way.

This is a level 1 class for children ages 6 to 10 years old.  Advanced registration is required for this FREE class.

   2:00 PM  -  3:00 PM Proud Penguin

Join us for a special afternoon with educator and award-winning songwriter, Jamie Purnell! Over the past 25 years, Jamie has delighted audiences with his story-driven, acoustic folk-pop, and classrooms with his intelligent, student-centered instruction. Now, he's turned his talents to writing children's books.

This debut children's book, Proud Penguin by Jamie Purnell, tells the feel-good tale of a penguin whose spirits are lifted from building a new friendship with a seagull. The storybook comes alive with sheet music and a downloadable recording and is made to delight and entertain families as they read and sing along.

At this event, Jamie will:

• Discuss well-known (and some not so well-known) facts about penguins, seagulls and their habitat.

• Read his heartwarming tale Proud Penguin

• Bring his guitar, dance and sing the "Proud Penguin" song. There will be dancing, singing and lots of audience participation.
