Registration is required. Space is limited because the library has only 8 sewing machines. When you register, please include whether you are bringing your own sewing machine.

TriValley CoderDojo is a part of the larger CoderDojo global movement of free computer coding clubs for young people ages 8-17 years old. TriValley CoderDojo, or TriV for short, is based in Dublin but open to youth in the surrounding TriValley area and beyond. Monthly sessions are held on the first Wednesday of each month.  Meetings are in the Community Room at the Dublin Library.  The coding session begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. Please arrive by 5:45 pm for set up so we can start promptly. Sessions are free, but tickets are required due to limited capacity. Register at http://trivalley.coderdojosv.org/addmember.

The California Highway Patrol and the San Lorenzo present Start Smart: Teen Driver Program. CHP officers will discuss traffic collision avoidance techniques, collision causing factors, driver/parent responsibilities, and seatbelt usage. Additionally, testimonies will be provided by officers who have investigated fatal collisions involving teens, and by family members who have lost loved ones in traffic collisions.

The Start Smart program is a driver safety education class which targets new and future licensed teenage drivers between the age of 15 - 19 and their parents/guardians.

Are you a high school student interested in volunteering at the library? We are holding a teen volunteer orientation meeting on Wednesday, March 15th from 4:30-5:30 pm. All interested students must attend this orientation meeting in order to apply for a volunteer position. Attending the meeting does not guarantee a volunteer position, but we will do our best to accomodate as many students as possible. We are currently recruiting for T.A.G. (teen advisory group) and Virtual Volunteers.

**Please note that there will be another volunteer orientation in June for all summer volunteer position.**

Adults and teens 14+ are welcome to attend Stitch 'n Inch to learn or practice knitting with Colette Pispisa or crocheting with Betty Joseph in a fun and friendly atmosphere. You are also welcome just to socialize. Their Newark Knitting group page is on Ravelry.com.

Stitch 'n Inch meets every other Saturday. You may bring your own needles or hooks to learn, or borrow straight knitting needles and yarn. Colette is proficient at using double-pointed needles, but if you want to learn how to make hats, socks or both, you'll need to buy yourself a set.
