7:00 PM THE POWER OF INFLUENCE: 4 SECRETS TO INFLUENCING ANYONE AND ANYWHERE

Presented by author David Loshelder

Wednesday, June 6th at 7 p.m.

Discover the life changing ways (that no one else will tell you) to get what you want, when you want it from anyone you meet.  Imagine successfully engaging others and witnessing them respond exactly the way you want them to just by using simple, easy to learn, proven communication techniques and strategies.

There are four basic communication styles you will learn in this workshop followed by a lifetime to practice and master each one.

If you are a leader, manager, supervisor, team lead or a parent, power comes from knowing your personal behavioral styles and then understanding the styles of others to help develop healthy and high-performing teams.  These communication styles will be examined and explored to help you gain an understanding of your own method of communication and how it impacts others, as well as how to communicate more efficiently and effectively.

David Loshelder is the founder and owner of 3LG Solutions, LLC.  He brings a unique blend of business experiences that provides a fresh look at how people work together.  He works with Founders and CEO's of companies that earn between $1 - 10 million to help those companies drive sustainable change initiatives boost team synergy and build stronger healthier team cultures.

Dave is also the author of two books: Take Care of #1 So You Don't Step In #2 and Protect Yourself: Top 10 Lifesaving Self-Defense Techniques. He received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and M.S. at Duquesne University.

7:00 PM THE GERRYMANDERING PROBLEM AND HOW TO FIX IT

Fair Districts PA, a non-partisan volunteer group seeking a solution to political gerrymandering, will present an information- and action-oriented program on June 12, at 7 p.m.

Fair Districts volunteer Anna Fisher will demonstrate how legislators from both major political parties have altered the boundaries of Pennsylvania’s districts to maximize their own electoral advantage. Dr. Fisher will show how a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling in February addressed U.S. Congressional districts but did not affect the gerrymandered boundaries of state House and Senate districts. The ruling also did not change the way districts will be drawn next time, after the 2020 U.S. Census.

The program will include explanations of legislation to create change, and simple ways citizens can take action.
