Each installment of this series begins with an informative lecture by Chessboard Creative Executive Director Brian Edward, examining a classic film production and the history of book on which it is based, followed by a screening of the movie in the Music Hall of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library. Admission to the event is free and will include opportunities to purchase raffle tickets for prizes related to the evening's feature. Free Admission

The fourth installment of the Blockbuster Books on Film Movie & Lecture Series, presented through the cooperation of Chessboard Creative and The Andrew Carnegie Free Library Library! Countless classic films have been based on books. In many cases, the book became more popular due to its portrayal on screen, though in others, the film far out shown the source material with the book falling into obscurity.
