Join Food Explorers as we try our hand at homemade Pear Rolls! You’ll be making a dough with Greek yogurt as the base and a delicious filling with pear, ginger and cinnamon, topped with a sweet glaze. You’ll need the following ingredients: 4 (ripe) pears, sugar, 1 lemon, cinnamon, ground ginger, self rising flour, plain Greek yogurt, powdered sugar, 1 block cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract. You will need a rolling pin.
 
This Zoom program is open to adults, teens, and families that like to cook together! Enjoy cooking instruction and camaraderie as we test new recipes in the comfort of your home. Registration is required.

Join us for an all ages program with Ferncroft Wildlife Rescue to learn about wildlife rehabilitation with a focus on opossums!

Learn how to support wildlife and find out what is involved in becoming a wildlife rehabber -- including how to make an emergency roadside kit. 

After the presentation, participants will be able to meet two opossum ambassadors and pet them! Registration is not required. Open to all.

Dress comfortably for this program. Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats or towels, but there will be some on hand to borrow, too.  This is a drop-in program. No yoga experience is necessary. All are welcome.

If the weather is favorable, we may move the program outdoors!

Want to foster your child's interest in STEM, while igniting their creative spark at the same time? Buildwave is a creative building program that feels like a video game!

Over the course of the workshop students create with over a dozen different building materials, including Lego®, PlusPlus®, and custom-made Buildwave materials. The workshop is structured like a video game, with an audiovisual setup featuring animations and music that guide students through the different building waves. As your child creates with wave after wave of new objects, they build creative confidence, become better collaborators, and encounter design and engineering fundamentals in a unique and memorable context.

This program is suitable for ages 5 - 13. Registration is required for this program! Please register each child who will participate.

Registration is required for this program to reserve the use of an instrument. Each participant must register individually.

So many creatures call fallen logs home! Find out what is underneath with the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center!

Fallen logs may seem unassuming, but they are full of life. Slugs, salamanders, spiders, frogs, snakes, and more critters make their homes under rocks and logs. We’ll meet some animals from the nature center and learn all about why logs are so important!
