Registration begins today for a three-week class on how to use iPhones and iPads taught by Adult Services Librarian Stephanie Smith.

This is a free class suitable for total beginners to people who have some familiarity but wish to improve their skills.

The class will meet Thursdays, January 10, 17, and 24 from 2-3 p.m.  It is strongly suggested that you be able to attend all three lessons.

Maybe you've just been given a iPhone or iPad that you're not sure how to use, or maybe you've had one for a while that you've never used or that you'd like to be able to do more with.  Register for this three-class series at the library and we will do our best to answer all of your iPhone and iPad questions. 

Topics will include: basic operation (turn on/off, functions of the buttons, connect to WiFi, charging), common apps (taking photos, checking email, browsing the Internet), popular apps (online banking, Facebook, local and national news), and library apps (check your account, search the catalog, download FREE e-books, e-audiobooks, and digital magazines).

Join the Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Project for a full Korean meal served in traditional Bangjia (bronzeware).  KSCPP will also show a short film on Korean culture, and free books on Korean culture will be available, too.  Please join us for this unique opportunity to experience another culture!

Registration is required and limited to 40 people.  You may register beginning on Monday, April 22.

Korean Spirit & Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) is a 501(c)(3) non - profit organization that is dedicated to raising awareness of Korean history and culture. In appreciation for the United States’ support for Korea during the Korean War and in the years that followed, since 2009, KSCPP has held over 1,700 presentations about the history and culture of Korea throughout the country.

This program is sponored by KSCPP and the Friends of the Flint.
