Navajo Land, Sharing Twenty-five Years of Visits!

at the Flint Public Library, Middleton

     Sandy Rubchinuk will share her love and respect for the culture, people and the beautiful lands of the Navajo people.  Through a multi-media presentation and stories of her learning and experiences on the Navajo reservation, she will educate and entertain. This presentation will increase awareness, making future visits to Navajo land much more meaningful for families, individuals, and groups. Enjoy the beauty, and be inspired by a vibrant culture, finding Hozho, harmony and peace, for a few hours. Sandy has visited often, including time volunteer teaching, riding horses, experiencing cultural events, and making friendships. Please join her for this free event.

This event is sponsored by the Middleton Cultural Council and the Flint Public Library.

This group explores the latest scientific discoveries about the brain and how it works, emotional well-being, and health as well as ancient philosophies about the nature of consciousness and the human experience. Self reflection and journal work enhance the group discussions. From September to December, we will be working with "Trust Your Vibes" by Sonia Choquette and "Find Your Soul Purpose" by Janet Conner. Other books by Janet Conner will also be part of the discussion and journaling exercises.

and design their own pancake animal!

Using their plates as the canvas, they will position their pancakes adorned with whipped cream, fruit slices and other bits and bobs to make a delicious creation!
