Do you like to knit or crochet? Come join a group of fellow crafters in a good cause. On Thursday afternoons, we will meet in the Fell Room for a group yarn-crafting project. We will knit hats, scarves, and mittens to be donated to homeless shelters or other charities.

All yarn will be supplied. You can bring your own needles and patterns (we will have some extras around if you forget). It's a great way to make friends, share patterns and tips, and help people in the community stay warm this coming winter.

Our monthly Magic: the Gathering group meets on the last Thursday of each month.* Come play a few games in the world's most popular trading card game! Participants are invited to bring their own decks or build their own with a selection of the hundreds of cards we have at the library. Don't know how to play? We'll be glad to show you how!

This program is intended for teens ages 12 to 18. No prior experience with the game is required to participate. We'll be meeting in the Fell Reading Room in the library.

If you are interested in comics, drawing, and telling stories with pictures, the Doodle & Comics Workshop with Cara Bean might be just your thing. The workshop is a basic introduction on how to generate ideas, develop simple storylines, and create characters. Learn easy doodling exercises to help you generate ideas and more. Recommended for children ages 8 to 12. 

As space and materials are limited, children are required to preregister for this event. You may register starting Friday, April 19 by calling the Children's Room at 508-324-2700, ext. 4.

Children will learn about astounding creatures as they experiment with camouflage and get hands-on with with real tooth and claw replicas.The Animal Tracks Take-Home activity lets children create casts of animal tracks just like real naturalists! Our monthly Magic: the Gathering group meets on the last Thursday of each month.* Come play a few games in the world's most popular trading card game! This program is intended for teens ages 12 to 18. No prior experience with the game is required to participate. We'll be meeting in the Fell Reading Room in the library.
