Our monthly Magic: the Gathering group meets on the last Thursday of each month.* Come play a few games in the world's most popular trading card game! Participants are invited to bring their own decks or build their own with a selection of the hundreds of cards we have at the library. Don't know how to play? We'll be glad to show you how!

This program is intended for teens ages 12 to 18. No prior experience with the game is required to participate. We'll be meeting in the Fell Reading Room in the library.

If you are interested in comics, drawing, and telling stories with pictures, the Doodle & Comics Workshop with Cara Bean might be just your thing. The workshop is a basic introduction on how to generate ideas, develop simple storylines, and create characters. Learn easy doodling exercises to help you generate ideas and more. Recommended for children ages 8 to 12.

Oak Grove Cape Verdean Cultural Center, Inc. presents "Cinderela - a Cape Verdean Authentic Folk Tale Puppet Show," a puppet show with musical and cultural elements of the Cape Verdean islands. This free presentation is family-friendly and open to all ages.

The town of Hamelin has a problem, and there's only one person who can handle it! The Cactus Head Puppets brings the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin to life in this comedic, updated adaptaion  of the traditional folktale. Mad Science presents All About Animals!, introducing children to the amazing assortment of creatures inhabiting the animal kingdom! Children will learn about astounding creatures as they experiment with camouflage and get hands-on with with real tooth and claw replicas.The Animal Tracks Take-Home activity lets children create casts of animal tracks just like real naturalists! In case of rain, the event will be held in the Meeting Room.

Both returning and new members are invited to join us on the third Wednesday of each month for a different kind of book club--one with no required books to read! Instead, everyone can share their own recommendations of a book they're enjoyed recently as we meet for general book chat and afternoon tea. Light refreshments will be served.

Our monthly Magic: the Gathering group meets on the last Thursday of each month.* Come play a few games in the world's most popular trading card game! Participants are invited to bring their own decks or build their own with a selection of the hundreds of cards we have at the library. Don't know how to play? We'll be glad to show you how!

This program is intended for teens ages 12 to 18. No prior experience with the game is required to participate. We'll be meeting in the Fell Reading Room in the library.

*If the last Thursday of the month falls on a holiday, the meetup will be rescheduled, probably to the week before. Please check our calendar to be sure.

Do you like to knit or crochet? Come join a group of fellow crafters in a good cause. On Thursday afternoons, we will meet in the Fell Room for a group yarn-crafting project. We will knit hats, scarves, and mittens to be donated to homeless shelters or other charities.

All yarn will be supplied. You can bring your own needles and patterns (we will have some extras around if you forget). It's a great way to make friends, share patterns and tips, and help people in the community stay warm this coming winter.

Choose from several exciting games to play, including Bath Trouble, Hopscotch, Lumberjacks, Aliens vs. Scientists and more! Recommended for ages 4 and up!

Science fiction and fantasy lovers are invited to join us for our monthly book discussion group! On the third Thursday of each month, we will meet at 6 pm to talk about a different sci-fi or fantasy book, ranging from new titles to classics. Each month's selection will be announced on this calendar and at the previous meeting.

Ultimate, and Super Mario Party will be available. We have a Nintendo Switch. Bringing your own handheld devices and controllers is encouraged, the more the merrier!
