Hypertension affects an astounding one in four adult Americans. Also known as high blood pressure, this condition usually has no symptoms, which is why it is often called the “silent killer.”

No registration required. Will be held in the Reference area.

Screenings will be held on Thursdays, July 5, August 2, and September 6 at the Station Branch from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Performance Poets Association is a non-profit organization that provides a forum for local artists and brings original poetry and related arts to the public.

              

A featured poet will read for 20 minutes at each session, followed by an open-mic.
