School is in session and now it's "ME" time.
Have you been meaning to get back to your scrapbooking, card making or other paper projects?  Do you want to meet new people or catch up with old friends? 
Every 2nd & 4th Monday of the month in the Makerspace there will be a scrapbooking group from 10am - 1pm.  
Anyone working on any type of craft is welcome since we want it to be a time of connecting, sharing and friendship.
The group will not meet on holidays and during school vacations.

As part of our new Arduino Robotic Club,   we are holding an ongoing coding class.  Your child will be taught some basic concepts of C programming required to operate an Arduino based robotic vehicle or any other Arduino controlled project.   The goal is to instill a strong foundation in the proper techniques of coding.

Class will be held in the Makerspace at the Medway Library

Open to students 10 through 15 years of age.

Registration Required (You must sign up for each session you will be attending)

Makerspace Waiver and Room Agreement forms must be completed by a legal guardian prior to workshop.   Forms are available at the circulation desk.

Register for the Summer Reading Program, browse through the Prize Packs, learn about all the summer events, and enjoy some free henna! Back by popular demand, Heather will be providing beautiful henna art to all. Her passion for the art of henna comes from a deep respect for the cultures that use henna traditionally, and she is continually furthering her research on henna traditions. Each person will receive a unique design and proper care instructions. Ages 12 and up. Registration preferred.

Songs and Stories for a Better World!

A program for families celebrating reading and the cultural heritage of the United States. Award winning performers Roger Tincknell and Davis Bates share participatory stories and songs designed to amuse, inspire and create a feeling of community, while encouraging reading and awareness of the natural world. The program includes trickster stories, international folktales and folk songs, and contemporary children’s songs. Instruments played include banjo, guitar, mandolin, spoons, and more!

All Ages. No registration.

Register to be certified to use the sewing machines located in the makerspace.  

 If you would like to use the sewing machines,  you will need to complete the certification process.  You will be shown how to thread and operate the machines.   You will also be given a take home informational handout that you can refer to when you are in the room working on your future project.

We understand that families will want to be certified together so please indicate on the registration form the number of people in the group.

To speed up the process, please fill out the Makerspace Waiver and Room Agreement forms prior to certification.   Forms are available at the circulation desk.

Inspired by the Percy Jackson book series, join a day as a member of Camp Half Blood. Kids are assigned to a cabin, engage in training and cabin vs. cabin team competitions. Best of all, kids will be sent on a quest facing ancient Greek monsters. Can they save themselves, their friends and ultimately save the world? Ages 8 and up. This library event will take place at Choate Park. Register in advance at the Library. REGISTRATION BEGINS JULY 1st.

Medway Library would like to nourish both bodies and minds during the summer break. As part of a pilot program, every Thursday from July 6th through August 24th the library will have story time for young children and drop-in craft and STEM activities for older children and pre-teens, along with a nutritious lunch, donated by a local business or community organization. All children and their caregivers are invited. Registration required. Please sign up by phone (508-533-3217) or online at least a week in advance so we know how many lunches will be needed.
