The Andover Conservation Commission has charted a course to actively manage some of its forested parcels. Andover lands that were once cleared for farming and agriculture have shown amazing growth over the last forty to fifty years. However, the lack of a productive understory (new growth), is a concern. Kevin Porter, Vice-Chairman of the Conservation Commission, will use Andover forests to lead a discussion of the pros and cons of management versus letting nature take its course.

The LWV @ the Library discussion series aims to promote thoughtful discussion of important civic issues. Free and open to the public. Please register, as space is limited.
