Many of us seek better understanding and fuller experiences in our lives; to have more satisfaction, enjoyment, and inner peace. You have heard that meditation can be helpful for our physical, mental, and emotional health; but what is its connection to our spiritual health? What is the mystical aspect of meditation and how does it relate to those that have had a “Near-Death Experience”(NDE)?
Join, Dr. Alan Post, long time meditator and contributing author to "Meditation as Medication for the Soul" by Rajinder Singh for this engaging  talk that provides an introduction into the multi-faceted world of Meditation and the NDE’s and their unique “Universal Connection”. There will be an opportunity to participate in an introductory meditation practice and for Q& A’s.

The village of Canonchet in Hopkinton is home to hundreds of ceremonial stone groupings call “Manitou Hassannash” which were left by the ancient ancestors of today’s people of indigenous heritage.   Richard Prescott, President of the Hopkinton Historical Association, spent his youth wandering over the Canonchet area, and studying these stone works.  In this presentation he will show the some of the stone works that still exists in the area. He also will discuss his understanding of spiritual practices that took place long before Europeans settled in what became America. The concepts of balance embodied in these long ago spiritual practices are as relevant today as they were to the indigenous people who depicted them in stone long, long ago. This program is offered in conjunction with the Narragansett Historical Society.
