At 2:00pm, come watch a holiday show performed by local puppeteer, Anna Vargas. After the show, stick around to make graham cracker gingerbread houses! All are welcome. Tickets are first come, first serve. Pick up starts when we open at noon this day.

Living Literature, a group of Rhode Island based actors who take literature from the page to the stage, offers, for the 2018 Holiday Season, “A Holiday Sampler,” a 45 minute readers theater style presentation of stories, poems and essays celebrating the spirit and practice of Christmas, includes such authors as Robert Frost, Ogden Nash, Grace Paley, Loudon Wainwright, Shel Silverstein, Mary Oliver, Louisa May Alcott, Richard Wilbur, Pearl S. Buck, and Leo Tolstoy among others. It will be perform by Husband & wife team, Anne Scurria and Living Literature Artistic Director, Barry Press. This fre,e off-beat lighthearted look at the most indelible of holidays is best appreciated by an adult audience, but children are welcome.

 Narrow River Preservation Association, South County Museum and the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library along with generous support from Trio Restaurant, are collaborating for the eigth year to sponsor the Winter Speaker Series On Pettaquamscutt: Presentations on the Environment and the History of the Narrow River Watershed. On Sunday, January 27, 2019, Friends of Canonchet Farm will present :The Canonchet Farm Linear Park – Landscape Architect Randy Collins will discuss the design of a linear park on the east side of Canonchet Farm along Boston Neck Road.  Registration will open on Sunday, Dec 30th.

The Friends of Canonchet Farm, Narrow River Preservation Association, South County Museum and the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library along with generous support from Trio Restaurant, are collaborating for the eigth year to sponsor the Winter Speaker Series On Pettaquamscutt: Presentations on the Environment and the History of the Narrow River Watershed. On Sunday, February 24, 2019, South County Museum will present  The History of Shadow Farm – Resident and local historian David Chidakel will trace the ownership of Shadow Farm from the Colonial times of the Hazards and Robinsons to its development as a condominium project in the 1980s. Registration will open on Sunday, January 27th.  Registration required.

 The Friends of Canonchet Farm, Narrow River Preservation Association, South County Museum and the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library along with generous support from Trio Restaurant, are collaborating for the eigth year to sponsor the Winter Speaker Series On Pettaquamscutt: Presentations on the Environment and the History of the Narrow River Watershed. On Sunday, March 31, 2019 Narrow River Preservation Association will present--Waves of Blue, Waves of Green – Southern Rhode Island Site Manager at Historic New England, Jane Hennedy will focus on Casey Farm which has produced fresh fruits and vegetable for generations and hosts the popular Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and a seasonal farmers' market for locally produced goods.  Registration will open on Sunday, February 24. Registration is required.
