Join Mayor Warren in celebrating the accomplishments of our summer readers at a special ice cream celebration courtesy of Cabot's!  Mayor Warren will congratulate all readers.There will  be an interactive concert for kids of all ages from 3:00-4:00 by Roger Tincknell, Songs for a Better World Family Concert, and temporary tattoos for tweens and teens by Noureen Design 2-4 pmFestivities will be held in front of the Newton Free Library at the Homer Street Entrance (or in Druker Auditorum in case of rain) and will include activities for children, tweens, teens and adults, so bring the whole family. 

Songs For a Better World Family Concert: An interactive program of multicultural children’s songs and sing-alongs from around the world performed on a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica, Russian balalaika and African drum. Children will be invited to sing, dance, imitate animals and play Latin percussion instruments.

Our Family Yoga Class will be structured like kids yoga class with emphasis on interactive and partner poses for kids and adults to do together.  Activities include cooperative games, age-appropriate poses, partner poses between parent and child, breathing exercises, simple mindfulness activities, and relaxation.
