    Contact: Newton Free Library   617-796-1360

Mindfulness can help children increase their attention span, focus and concentration, improve memory, better social functioning, self esteem, reduces stress, and can improve relationships with parents.  The class helps everyone to experience what mindfulness is and to show caregivers/parents how to use it in their lives in a practical way.  In the class we do simple and fun activities to encourage mindfulness and relaxation so that everyone can see it in action.  Fun props, such as kindness rock, puppets, chime bells, animal breathing exercises, and friendly wishes heart bell, are used to engage the children in sensory activities and to learn how to be more mindful. For kids ages 3-5 and their adults.  Space is limited.  Please pick up a ticket at the desk in the children's starting 15 minutes before the program begins.

My name is Ed Popielarczyk. I am a professional magician, balloon sculptor, flea circus ringmaster, and storyteller. I have been entertaining children and family audiences for over thirty years. My magic show is a comedy show that uses a lot of audience participation. YOU are the stars of the show because you help to make the magic happen. I usually have lots of trouble! I don’t just “do a trick” I tell a story that revolves around each trick. It may be a short story or a longer one, but each story helps to bring the trick together. Everyone who comes on “stage” to be a helper receives a souvenir! The show is appropriate for ages three and up. I hope to see you there!!!
