    Come and enjoy a half hour of fun with your baby! We'll share songs, finger plays, stories, and rhymes. You'll get to meet other parents and their babies, and enjoy some special time together. Baby Playtime will meet on Tuesdays, May 7-June 11. For ages 0-18 months (siblings are also welcome). Registration is required.
   6:30 PM  -  7:30 PM Culinary Herb Gardening  
    Growing and harvesting your own culinary herbs adds fresh zest to dishes, and a touch of nature and a wonderful fragrance to home decor. Learn how to start herbs, and maintain them through the growing season. You will discover how to identify, propagate, and use different herbs. The flavor and fragrance of different herbs will also be discussed. This program will be presented by Silloo Kapadia, a Master Gardener with an interest in culinary herbs and spices. She is also a member of the Western Pennsylvania Unit of the Herb Society of America. Registration is required.

    Join us for activities and games geared toward the development of those skills needed to start kindergarten. Activities will be modeled after PA Educational Standards. Ages 4-5. Registration is required. This program will be held on Thursdays, May 9-June 13.
   5:00 PM  -  7:00 PM Tween First Aid & Safety Workshop  
    This two-hour workshop will teach tweens basic first aid and safety. Tweens will learn what to do in situations that required fast action, such as allergic reactions, asthma attacks, accidental poisoning, or choking. Tweens will also learn about basic fire safety. The workshop will be taught by local high school Girl Scouts. All tween boys and girls are invited to attend! Please note that a parent must fill out a permission slip and photo release form. Registration will be taken at the circulation desk.

    Join Pine Richland Girl Scout Junior Troop 51121 and the Allegheny Land Trust for a special program on the future of the Pgh Cut Flower property. School age kids (K-6) will have the opportunity to learn about future plans for the site, and their ideas and suggestions for what they would like to see included in the site's redevelopment. There will also be crafts, and other fun projects. Please join us!

    Zumba is a strong cardio and muscular workout, incorporating dances such as merange, salsa, hip-hop, and belly dancing. A four week series will be offered on Mondays, June 3-24. A fee of $20 will be charged for the series, or you can pay as you go at $7 per class. This class will be held on the library's lower level.

    Joining a book club doesn't mean you have to read books that make you cry! Join us for selections that are though-provoking and entertaining. Sue Grafton was a trendsetter in the genre of modern female detectives with the publication of A is for Alibi in 1982. Thirty-one years later, Kinsey is still solving mysteries (V is for Vengeance was published in 2012), and the series is as good as it ever was.
