| |
Are you holding onto a rare first edition? Have a priceless signed copy? A sought-after collectors’ item? Bring up to three books to the Value of the Book workshop and find out! Free program. Sponsored by Senator Donna Nesselbush.
During this interactive program, Mr. Rickman will offer his thoughts on book values drawing on his years of experience as a long-time rare book dealer in Providence and the former host of “Bestsellers” on Rhode Island Public Television. In an Antiques Roadshow-type format, Mr. Rickman will cover what makes a book valuable, what type of book has the highest retail value and will offer complimentary estimates of up to three of your books’ value. Mr. Rickman is the founder of The Rickman Group, a Providence-based management consultant firm, offering advice to companies and nonprofits to improve their strategic, financial and operational position and performance. A former state representative, Ray Rickman lectures throughout Rhode Island and beyond on a broad range of historical and cultural topics pertaining to American literature and African American history.
