Code.org is coming to the library this summer!   We’ll be teaching kids the language of the future in this fun summer club for 3-6th grades.  Using Code.org, Google Chromebooks, Angry Birds and a little imagination, kids will get familiar with the building blocks of writing code in Javascript.  Our Teen Tech Tutors will also be on hand to provide some extra techie help and inspiration.

The 6-week club begins June 29th, with sessions for 3rd-4th grade, and 5th-6th starting July 1.

Code.org is coming to the library this summer!   We’ll be teaching kids the language of the future in this fun summer club for 3-6th grades.  Using Code.org, Google Chromebooks, Angry Birds and a little imagination, kids will get familiar with the building blocks of writing code in Javascript.  Our Teen Tech Tutors will also be on hand to provide some extra techie help and inspiration.

The 6-week club begins June 29th, with sessions for 3rd-4th grade, and 5th-6th starting July 1.

This week's project: Recycled Poetry. Cut out words from magazines and newspapers, glue onto magnetic sheets. Cut these apart to create refrigerator poetry magnets. Use over and over to write your own poems.
