SESSION TOPIC:“Navigate Your Way to a New Career”-Learn How to Use Linkedin

You have a LinkedIn (LI) profile but now what??!! In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to use LI as a powerful research tool to identify target companies you may want to work for, jobs you may want to apply for, people you may want to network with who may be able to help in you in your job search. Some of the key “how to’s” which will be demonstrated:

  • Conduct an advanced search for companies or people
  • Identify and join groups and the value of joining groups
  • Attach a supporting document (resume, article, PPT, video) to your LI profile
  • Invite people to connect (not the lazy man version!)
  • Request a recommendation
  • Post articles to enhance visibility on LI
  • Search for jobs and the ideal (back road) way to apply!

Doors open at 10:30 am for registration and casual networking.
