This new program is a monthly meeting designed to help the community at large stay on top of important social, political and cultural issues. March's topic will be Body Image.

Each month when we meet we will discuss a specific topic and watch a corresponding TEDTalk in order to become more knowledgeable about issues that our society faces today. Hosted by two Swampscott librarians, this group will be where you can become more familiar about topics and share your ideas about them.

Some of the topics we will watch a TEDTalk on and discuss include: money and finance, feminism, human rights, and more. Prior to each monthly meeting, there will be a list of suggested reading materials to better prepare our discussions and to help pique your interests and enhance your knowledge.

Check our website, or stop by the library to check out the list of topics and the suggested reading materials for each month.
