Wedged in a corner of Queens between Newtown Creek, Calvary Cemetery and the Queens-Midtown Expressway, tiny out-ofway Blissville boasted a sushi factory, an Afghan bakery, a car-crushing facility and still has a company making Statue of Library replicas that still operates today. Join us to explore the story of small yet dynamic neighborhood home to multiple nationalities and ethnic backgrounds, many first generation immigrants, surrounded by development and yet emblematic of “the resiliency of community.”
