Saturday November 3, 2018

We proudly celebrate half a century of making exceptional music in Lexington all season long. Our 50th Anniversary Season opens with a lovely concert of Psalms and Sonnets in the sanctuary of Pilgrim Congregational Church, Lexington, MA. Composers of Psalm settings include Telemann (canons), Mendelssohn (Psalm 43), Schubert (Psalm 23) and Jean Berger (Brazilian Psalm, sung in Portuguese). The Sonnet settings include those by Vaughan Williams (Shakespeare), Brandeis faculty composer David Rakowski (Elizabeth Barrett Browning) and the jazz pianist George Shearing (Shakespeare). Please join us for a reception with seasonal refreshments after the concert. Pilgrim Congregational Church UCC, 55 Coolidge Avenue, Lexington, is fully accessible with ample free parking. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Discounts are available to subscribers and Greater Boston Choral Consortium members and from members of the chorus.
