Hop Speech Summer Workshop: SpeechWednesday August 15, 2018
3:00 PM until 5:00 PM
For grades 4-6.
The transition between elementary and middle school is tough in all aspects. One specific part is the constant presentations, both on the spot or memorized. We are aware that public speaking is difficult for many kids; We’ve been through it ourselves. Our goal is to make things easier for the kids. Speech is an aspect that will stay with children throughout their lives! In addition to public speaking in general, we will be covering how to write a speech and basic debate structure.
What's covered in Speech Workshop:
- teach the basic structure to writing a speech
- practice speaking skills (clarity, volume, eye contact)
- games involving impromptu (on the spot) speaking
